The incredible stop motion video above is by my friend Ryne Heslin, who’s pattern obsessed artwork and music I’ve always admired since I’ve met him. I post his drawings and paintings on here quite frequently, and his neo-psyche band Diamond Man and ambient solo project Aluminum Foliage are nice additions to the experimental music scene in Tampa, Florida. I’d like to see them get together and play shows more often, which is why I’ve had them come to Orlando a couple times this past year, but from the sets I’ve seen and listening to their 1st album I can see future potential with their otherworldly forest sound. I’m playing with them later this month in Tampa, so if you’re not out of town check it out.
